Our mixtures contain varieties which are listed on the current DAFM Recommended List and the Teagasc Pasture Profit Index, meaning they have proven performance under our growing conditions and will deliver more to your grazing or silage swards.

Our mixtures are formulated with our local Teagasc advisors to bring the best swards to the area.

1. Intensive Silage

A high yielding, high quality silage mixture designed for an intensive 2-cut system.

• Suited to a 2-cut silage system with the first cut aimed at late May
• Forms a dense and persistent silage sward
• Good aftermath grazing
• Excellent yield and quality

2. Intensive Grazing Mixture

A high quality, high yielding, palatable mixture for intensive grazing systems.

• Intensive grazing or 1-cut mix
• AberGain is the highest performing late tetraploid variety on the Teagasc PPI for 2017
• AberChoice and Drumbo are the best late diploids for 2017
• Excellent digestibility – AberGain and AberChoice are the highest varieties overall for quality on the PPI
• Very palatable varieties for higher intakes

2A. Intensive Grazing Mixture with clover

Similar to the Intensive Grazing Mixture above but with clover included as required.

3.Heavy Soils Mixture

A persistence and dense mixture for difficult soils.

• A dense mixture suitable for heavy soils
• Contains varieties with good sward density to reduce the risk of poaching

4. Over-seeding Mixture (100% tetraploid)

Specially formulated for overseeding into existing swards

• Contains 100% tetraploid
• Graze every 14 days after sowing to allow new seeds establish
• Suitable for zero-grazing systems
