Who can enter? 

This competition is open to all amateur photographers who live in West Cork over the age of 18. If you are under 18 you must send written consent by a parent or guardian.

Employees of the Promoter, Bandon Co-op and agencies associated with the competition are ineligible to enter. 

 

How to participate? 

• Entrants must submit their entry with contact details via our website www.bandoncoop.ie.  Incomplete entries will be ineligible for the draw.
• Maximum of 4 entries per person.
• Entries must be min of 2MB and be landscape in orientation, unfortunately we cannot accept entries that don't meet these criteria.
• The theme of your photos should reflect “Community Pride” and must be taken in the geographical areas in which Bandon Co-op operates – namely Bandon, Kinsale or Enniskeane areas.
• All entries must have a short title with no more than ten words.
• Photos will only be accepted via our website – prints or image submitted in any other form will not be accepted.
• Entries which are deemed offensive, defamatory or abusive, or are otherwise inappropriate will not be published and will be disqualified. Bandon Co-ops discretion on this is final. 

 

Photos will be shared on our website and social media pages for promotional purposes.

Entry submission is deemed to be in acceptance of these terms and conditions.

If no suitable photographs for 2024 Calendar are found from the competition process, other means will be used at the discretion of Bandon Co-op.

 

Opening and closing dates 

The closing date for entries is 13th October 2023.

Entries received after the closing date will not be included for consideration in the competition. 

 

Prize 

There will be 12 winners – one for each month of the calendar and each will receive a €50 voucher for Bandon Co-op Retail & Garden Centres

One overall winner will receive:

€200 voucher for Bandon Co-op Retail & Garden Centres

No cash alternatives, prizes are not transferrable to any other individual or organisation.  Promoter reserves the right to change the prize at any time. Winner is liable for all other expenses incurred in accepting the prize.

 

Adjudication and Announcement of Winners

12 monthly winners will be chosen by Bandon Co-op and will be announced on www.bandoncoop.ie and on our social media channels.

If the winners do not respond within 24 hours of being notified, then Bandon Co-op shall be entitled to select a replacement winner. 

The winners agree to take part in future promotional activity.  The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

Liability of Promoter 

The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. In such circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition.

Bandon Co-op cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, injury or damage caused to the winner as a result of accepting the prize or participating in the competition.

 

Data Protection 

In order to administer this competition, the Promoter needs to collect and process certain information. By entering the competition, all participants consent to their data being used in this manner for these purposes. The Promoter will retain the information for the period necessary for the competition. 

 

All entries together with the entrants’ details (name and general location) may be used in publicity campaigns (such as web posts, social media posts, newspaper articles) after the competition.
