The Niger Christmas Carol is an early-blooming hellebore which blooms in time for the Christmas season, with large, radiant white flowers that last until the early spring. As such, it is perfect for adding some colour to the garden in the gloomiest months of the year, whether it is planted in a window box, patio pot, or partially shaded border.
How To
Fill the planting hole with a large amount of organic debris or well-rotted leaf Mold. In January or February, trim the old leaves back to the ground to best display the newly budding flowers. Additionally, it will aid in the removal of foliar diseases like Hellebore leaf spot. Spread a thick layer of well-rotted organic materials, 5-7 cm (2-3 in), all around.
